one month

today marks one month since kai was born!! it's absolutely crazy how fast time flies. it doesn't feel like he should be that old. but, at the same time, i can't remember what it was like without him here. having kids always scared the crap out of me but once you have them, they truly change your life. we are still figuring things out and i think we always will with him. every day changes and we never know what we are going to get! i love it though. i never thought i'd love someone so much. except quin of course.

he has the cutest facial expressions. he loves to stretch and has the scrawniest arms and legs (takes after quin!). he has the cutest poop face, i even had to video it it was so cute. a face only a mother could love i'm sure! i take way too many pictures a day of him. when i show people them i'm sure they don't think they are as cute as i do but they are absolutely adorable in my opinion. he sleeps pretty decent at night. he usually goes down between nine and ten and will sleep until two or three then he's back up at six. he doesn't sleep great during the day and will take cat naps. i'll take the better sleep at night though! we'll see how long this will last. newborn schedules change frequently is what i hear. he is finally fitting into his newborn clothes. i didn't think he'd be so small but seeing the newborn clothes drown him was a little eye opening at how small they really are. he sure is growing though! he is getting some chub in his face too. i love chubby babies! he has a ways to go before he's considered chubby though. still love him. he is our world right now!

p.s. i love that picture of him! he's showing off his stretching. looks like superman. he even is holding up the number one with his finger! i think he knew he was a month old ;)
