housewife-esque

since quin and I usually both work in the evenings we never get to have a nice sit down, home-cooked dinner and just settle down for the night during the weeknights. well being the first week of school, we don't have to work nightly just yet. so tonight i decided to be a good housewife and cook some dinner for my mr. i wanted to be able to sit down together, eat some scrumptious food, and snuggle by the fire...tv until the late hours. i always cook dinner on sundays but during the week it is usually just a quick throw together meal. i have to admit, i'm not much of a cook but i do try! well tonight i made some delicious rolls and some yummy soup. simple yet sooo good. i felt like a somewhat accomplished housewifey. i'm going to try my best to be better at cooking meals and getting to spend that quality time with my hubby! quin is such a sweetie and will eat anything, even if he doesn't like it. he will never say that he doesn't like something i cook though...smart husband. I must say i do love being a wife to quin. he is definitely the best husband anyone could ask for.

well school is back on and we are keeping busy with that. we aren't too exciting right now, hence the boring post. so sorry. a little update though....quin is taking more business classes this semester. he will graduate with his bachelors of business next fall. he has changed his major to sports administration and management. sounds just like him right? anything sports related, quin is in heaven. he'll have to go to graduate school to get masters in that so we are excited to see where that will take us. he is working as the ambassador advisor and keeps busy with that in between classes. he also refs high school basketball and intramurals. he is a pretty good referee i think, but then again, i never liked any of the refs that did my games in high school so i might be a little biased in my way of thinking. well an update of me....i am taking more classes for my bachelors of nursing. i thought graduating nursing school would mean i didn't have to take anymore such classes but that doesn't seem to ever be true! i'm working in the intramural office during the days and also during the evening. i'm looking for any nursing job if anyone knows of any...pass em my way! i'm always keeping busy with crafts and i have new ideas everyday. of course, a newlyweds/students salary doesn't pay for all of my craft ideas i have so most of them are on hold. especially when you have to buy stupid text books instead.

well i'm ready for some snuggle time with the hubby. i hope everyone's first days of school are going well. for those of you who don't have school starting...consider yourself lucky. i'm excited for this semester though because that means it is closer to getting warm. i'm a pansy in the cold (yes i am aware stg still isn't that  cold) but i'm dreaming of the day that it starts getting warm. oh how i long for that day to get here soon! i'll leave you with a picture (since no post without a picture is that exciting) of times when it was warmer and our skin was tanner.

oh hawaii how we miss you...

i know what i'll be dreaming of tonight!

  3. Dani,
Great job on dinner... It only seems to get harder and harder as time goes on to fit in that "sit down dinner." At least for us!
