the weekend.

well it has definitely been an eventful weekend. not really just for us but for the whole entire world! it breaks my heart to watch what is going on in japan. friday morning i decided to turn on the news before i headed to work. i never turn on the tv in the morning. i am glad i did though! i couldn't believe what was going on. all day at work we were all looking up on the internet watching videos, reading updates, and looking a pictures of this horrible disaster. some pictures of planes and cars looked like they were toys just floating around. it is unbelievable how an earthquake in japan can cause a tsunami that can destroy the coast of japan and even travel clear to the united states. good thing it lost its power but it just goes to show how powerful this earth is and what could happen in the future. it's definitely scary. disasters like this make you thankful for what we have in this life because everything could change in an instant. quin and i are so thankful for what we have and feel so blessed to be where we are today. we are sending our thoughts and prayers over to japan.

don't they just look like toys?!

on a lighter note....quin and i went to las vegas yesterday to go watch the BYU vs San Diego State play for the mountain west conf. championship at the thomas and mack. we went with quins ambassador boss, josh and his wife allie. they are way fun to hang out with and we loved going to the game with them! it was a pretty good game except that BYU lost by a lot. none of us were huge BYU fans but of course we had to support our fellow utah-ans. the stadium was packed!! there was so many people there and of course we had the most annoying punk kids right in front of us from SDSU. some of them were drunk but all were obnoxious. but that is what the fun is when you go out to sporting events right?

we had fun though. BYU came back and by came back i mean they got within ten points. the arena went wild!! it was so loud in there you couldn't hear yourself think. but then SDSU pulled away again and ended up winning by twenty. jimmer fredette didn't play super great but ended it with 30 points. its kinda crazy that 30 points isn't a good game for him! the night before he went for 52 points! he is insanely good...says quin anyways. i don't really follow it all that much. he is on the news a lot though and that is what i watch!

after the game we went to the cheesecake factory, of course. we love that place and wished there was one in st. george. actually...maybe not. because then we would probably be really poor and slighlty overweight from eating there too much. so its a good thing there isn't one closer than 100 miles away. it is just sooo good though!! it makes it fun when we travel to get to eat at places like that also.

now on a more random note...it was daylight savings time last night!! you wonder why i am excited about this??? well it just means that summer is getting closer! longer and warmer days here we come and i can't wait for you to get here. it was 75 degrees in st. george yesterday.  quin and i didn't want to be indoors and hung out outside all morning. it was sooo great. this whole week is supposed to be in the mid seventies. perfect spring break weather. heaven. since it is spring break this week, we are headed down to so-cal for half of the week. we couldn't be more excited. yay for beaches!

happy spring break y'all!!
