happy anniversary

year one: 2011 // miami, florida
year two: 2012 // st. george, utah
year three: 2013 // new york, new york

may 15th marked our three year anniversary! it doesn't even sound like that long but it seems like we have been together for forever. we always talk about how we don't know what the heck we did before we were married. those times seem so long ago. married life is awesome but it is definitely less exciting when you take a step back and look from the outside in. when we are getting ready for bed at ten o'clock with our eyes half open, i don't know how we ever stayed up until one a.m. every night hanging out. it's crazy how life changes and how we grow as a couple into different things. i feel like we are such an "old married couple" but, in reality, we have so much more life to live. we have so many goals in life that we want to reach and i can't wait to see where it takes us. marriage is by far the best thing on this planet. it is so amazing to know we will always be each others best friend. i love it!

for our anniversary this year we weren't planning on doing much. just the usual. go out to dinner, spend some relaxing time together doing something. we decided last minute to take a trip since i had the time off and school just ended so quin could get work off easily. my first choice was bora bora, because, of course, that is soooo easily doable (ha!) but we are still saving up for that one so one of these anniversary's it will happen! that is my dream vaca and i never decide on a place to visit and not go...eventually at least! we tossed around a couple ideas and we eventually landed on new york. we have some friends out there so it made it even more perfect. we spent four days there and had a blast. i will write another post allllll about it. we had a blast and accomplished so much in the short couple days we were there and i took a billion and one pictures. those posts coming soon...

for now in this post, i'm just going to focus on the three blissful years of marriage and write sappy poems to show my undying love for quin...
...or not
because we all know i'm the least romantic person there is on this green earth. so i will end with a happy anniversary to you and yours and be happy that we made it another year without killing each other off. marriage is awesome but, naturally, we have our days of wonderment if life gets any better. of course the answer to that is a fist pump and a yes :) because life is already great and will always get better...am i right???
