temple square lights

ever since quin and i started dating, we've gone to the lights at temple square every year. this was our fifth year. i told quin that basically it's going to have to be an annual tradition for us now. i love looking at the lights. they are seriously amazing and i'm in awe every time i go. to wrap every limb of a tree and bush so intricately takes some serious talent...or patience. that's why our trees don't get wrapped. you can read in our experience with putting up our house lights...yeah, patience isn't a virtue of mine. i sometimes like to think it is but at the end of the day, i realize that i'm not the best at it. i'll work on that.

this year we went with some friends of mine from high school and their husbands (well, one is a future husband). it was so fun seeing old friends! we're all from nevada so salt lake wasn't the most likely of places to meet but two live up north and then the other lives in st. george with us so it worked out perfect. we had a blast looking at the lights, drinking hot cocoa, and freezing our bums off. it was a pretty chilly night but it was such a blast getting to hang out with old friends. it's always a good time that's for sure.
