happy new year

i can't believe that it is now 2012. this year seriously flew by. so many things happened this year and we are so grateful for where we are now. quin and i have enjoyed every minute of our lives and we are so excited for what comes next. we have some big decisions to make in the near future but for now, we will just embrace life and live in the moment. we can't wait to see where life will take us!

for new years eve this year we celebrated a little early. i had to work new years eve night so i didn't get to ring in 2012 with quin. instead, that morning we made ourselves breakfast, went and did a session at the st. george temple, and had some delicious lunch at kneaders! seriously...so good. we had such a fun little "day date" for new years since we weren't going to be with eachother that night. the temple was amazing as usual. it was actually a quite fun experience. we were trying to make it to the 1040 session but were a tad late and ended up missing it by only a couple of minutes. we were slightly bummed since we didn't really want to sit another 40 minutes until the next one at 1120 which happened to be the last one they were doing that day. it was so peaceful sitting in the chapel though, listening the hymns being played by a sweet elderly lady, and read the scriptures that after a little bit, we didn't mind waiting at all. we were also asked to be the witness couple (i was super nervous!). it was such an awesome experience though! when the temple worker brought us out to explain everything, he added that we were the last witness couple of 2011. we both thought that was pretty neat and even though we were lated and had to wait a little bit, we had such a great time there and made our temple experience even better than it already would have been.

after i left for work, quin was still able to be entertained by our friends. they are all so great. we don't know what we do without all our wonderful friends that we have made over the years! he actually made a couple different stops and hang out with a bunch a different people. he was quite the party owl! he didn't call me to tell me he was going home until 2am. if i wouldn't have been working, i would have been passed out long before that. staying up late has become so hard! it used to be so easy when we were dating. i guess we're getting old dang it. anyways, hope everyone enjoyed their new years! here's to 2012 and all the good and the bad that it will bring!!
