a quick visit

a couple weekends ago, quin and i made a quick trip up north. we were in salt lake for less than 24 hours. we originally went because we have a pass to go paragliding at the point of the mountain and we had to use them by mid-march or we'd lose them. so we called the night before, making sure the weather was still appropriate then made our way up in the dark of the night, singing along to old songs and snacking on sugary snacks.

the next morning, we woke up bright and early and headed on our way down to thanksgiving point. we were about ten minutes out when the guy called me and informed us of bad news. the winds were going the wrong way so we wouldn't be able to go paragliding. darn. he then gave us some good news. he told us he'd extend our passes and could come up during the summer. okay!! we'd much prefer flying in the warm wind instead of bitterly cold wind. so, alas, we will be making our way up another time to experience that adventure.

so instead of original plans, we made some new ones. ones that quin probably didn't enjoy as much but i sure did. these plans involved ikea, rc willey, and plenty of other furniture/home decor stores. much to quin's dismay, these are my favorite stores to go to now and i usually always find something perfect for our home. quin's dad was also with us and he helped push my influence of buying things :).

we had a fun little break but had to get back home to get stuff done for our home. on our way back to st. george we stopped by to visit one of my best friends from high school and her little family. she just barely had a little baby girl about a month ago so, naturally, i had to meet her sweet little face. she was adorable and she didn't even cry when i held her. plus for me!

they live in the provo/orem area and quin had another friend from his high school that we also wanted to visit. they so happened to be on a little dinner date so we crashed their romantic evening and finished dinner with them at olive garden. it was a fun little spontaneous night and we ended up getting home pretty late but we had a blast seeing everyone. next time we will have to make it last a little longer.
