antelope island

soooo.....back in may, yes i have slacked on blogging for that long, quin and i had taken a trip up north. it was a work trip for him and a play/relax trip for me. sounds like a pretty good eh? we stayed up at the ski resort, snowbird. i enjoyed some nice r&r at the spa with a wonderfully amazing massage and facial. yes, i spoiled myself. and it was amazing. anyways, since his conference ended on thursday, we decided to go visit his parents for the rest of the weekend. one of those days, we went to antelope island out in the middle of the great salt lake. i had never even seen the dang lake so we figured it would be a fun little evening activity.

besides for the bazillions of mosquitos, i quite enjoyed looking at the beauty of what the lake had to offer. not your most useful of lakes being filled with as much salt as the ocean, but it was so pretty. the lake was so still that day. hence why the pictures look like mirror copies of each other. the reflections on the water were just amazing. i took way too many pictures that day but i just couldn't help myself. even the buffalo were cooperating and looking at the camera. apparently if they notice you and look up and stare with those beady eyes, it's a bad sign. it means your too close. which happened. once, or maybe twice. i'm still here though, folks, so don't worry, i didn't get trampled.
