homemade icecream

quin and i love sundays for many reasons. it's the day of rest, whats not to love!

well for our wedding we were given an ice cream maker and we have used it only a handful of times. tonight was one of them. i'm not sure why we don't use it more often! it makes the greatest of ice cream and it's so easy.

all you need is four ingredients...

vanilla extract

whole milk

heavy cream

sugar

ok maybe five because you need oreo's too! or reese's. or anything yummy to put in ice cream.

mix them all together, throw them in the frozen churner thingy, and you get some delicious homemade ice cream!

it can also make sorbet and frozen yogurt which we will have to try soon too. it was the perfect treat to watch the nba finals and see dallas romp on miami. we were quite pleased with the game! quin actually wanted miami to win tonight so that it would go into game 7 and he'd have at least one more game to watch. i'm ok with it being over though! all good things must come to an end.

last night we were able to go to the dixie rebel semi-pro football game. i had no idea st. george even had such a thing but it was way fun to go watch. they played a team from up in salt lake. i guess most of the players played for byu while most of the dixie team played for dixie state. basically it's a bunch of old guys reliving their glory days! it was still fun to go watch though. dixie even won! they should try rubbin that onto the actual dixie state football team.

well onto another week.

i have a surprise planned for quin over fathers day weekend and am so excited for it to get here! he may not be a father yet but we can still celebrate for the future right?!
