lake powell adventure

well we finally made it out to lake powell this summer. we absolutely love going and are so glad we were able to make a short trip out. we were only there for a day and a half but it was so worth it. hopefully some other time we will be able to go out for longer. anytime at the lake is a great time though!

our friend maddie and her family own a house boat and we have gone out with her before a couple years ago so it was fun to go again with them. they are the nicest people and so fun to be around! plus its lake powell. we always have fun out there! we definitely made the short time worth while. brody and his girlfriend, sami, also came out with us. we had such a good time soaking up the sun, playing in the water, and enjoying time on the boats.

we got out there friday night, woke up bright and early and hit the wake. its been almost two years since i have wake boarded so i was so very excited to go. we spent a lot of our day out on the lake being pulled behind the boat. the water was pretty good too! and it was soooo hot! i loved it. i could sit in the sun all day. but we did get pretty sunburned! i wouldn't go as far to say we were lobsters but maybe a good pinkish shade would best describe it.

after wakeboarding and knee boarding we went back to the house boat to relax and eat some lunch. while we were supposed to be relaxing we ended up playing on the slide and jumping into the water. it felt so good and was relaxing enough to us. then we headed back out on the boat. after more wakeboarding we stopped by the other marina called the point and walked around there. i guess that is where all the really nice house boats are docked. they were pretty stinking nice.

well out time at lake powell was awesome. we highly enjoyed ourselves and appreciate the morrells for letting us come!

we had a blast at good ole lake powell. can't wait for next time!! we had a pretty busy weekend of fun times. i had a surprise for quin for fathers day...that will be in another post! we had way too much fun this weekend that's for sure.
