family weekend

over presidents day weekend, quin's parents and sister heidi and her kids, came down to st. george to get out of the frozen tundra. aka. northern utah. we were planning on going up north that weekend but plans kinda changed for the time being and quin's parents ended up coming here instead. we had a blast spending time with them. family is always fun to be around and this time was no exception.

they arrived saturday afternoon and we all met up for dinner out at the pizza factory, the traditional spot for the monson's. being the long weekend and about a billion things going in st. george, the wait was pretty long. we passed the time by playing in the grassy area out back and catching up with everyone. after dinner, we had a little fun in the hot tub then went off to dream land.

sunday we all went to church and then spent the rest of the day out at snow canyon state park. the kids loved playing in the red sanded sand dunes and on all the rocks. we didn't do much hiking but, with kids, it's more fun just doing something simple like the sand and close-by rocks. the kids were pretty dirty by the time we decided we'd had enough. my niece looked like a red head from all the sand stuck to the top of her head. it was pretty hilarious.

monday was presidents day but the family all had to get home so we did a quick breakfast at another one of the monson's traditional stops, golden corral. we had so much fun seeing everyone and look forward to the next time!
