we mostly spent our day shopping for furniture. we thought it would be fun to look around and see how much real furniture cost. since we've been married we haven't bought any furniture. it has all been hand-me-down from our families and friends. it's been great having it all but we wanted to see what it would cost to buy new. anyways, we ended buying a new bedroom set! since it was the fourth of july there were some massive sales going on and we couldn't help ourselves. in the new house we are going to have plenty of room for more furniture then we have. it was our first real BIG purchase since we've been married so we were a big nervous about it haha. it was pretty funny.
our bedroom set we bought!
after shopping all day we spent the evening with quin's family in hurricane. his brother, dean, lives there so we were able to go out there and hang out with them and his sister, marie's, family. we had a blast eating yummy food, playing games, and lighting off fireworks. we started the night off with a bbq. amber made some delicious food! we definitely stuffed our faces.
we played a couple games. one of the games we played i had never even heard of...bochi...maybe?? i have no idea how to spell it. but it was pretty fun! quin and i ended up winning. oh yeah! after playing we cooked some yummy smores. we bought some of those giant marshmallows. they were huge!! when we put them on our pokers the marshmallows bent them because they were so heavy. they were pretty good though!
as it got dark we started off our fireworks! they weren't as good as the ones we saw up north but we still enjoyed them. dean and quin were the firework starters and lit them all up. most of them just spit out sparks or twirled on the ground. the grand finale was pretty good though. they actually shot up in the sky! haha they were all really good though and are so thankful dean and amber invited us over for the evening. we definitely enjoyed ourselves.
