day one of our amazing spring break

we just got back from probably the most amazing trip we have been on. we had so much fun and did not want to come back! we spent eight amazing days in the caribbean and just got back yesterday in the early morning hours. we went on on a southern caribbean cruise leaving from puerto rico and we went to five different islands and then spent another day in puerto rico before coming home. it was quin's first cruise and my second so we were pretty excited. quin was like a little kid excited about it. we went with two other couples. we did so much each day that this would be the longest post in blogging history! so, i decided to separate them by each day so i can make sure i get everything in without it being a novel. beware though, i did take over 700 pictures on this trip! i'll try not to post all of them :)

we left st. george saturday night for a red eye flight. we arrived in puerto rico in the afternoon but our ship didn't leave until ten o'clock that night! so we took advantage, checked into the ship, and then headed out onto the town. we walked to old town san juan and it was so pretty. we went to castillo san cristobal which is the ruins of  an old fortification site that protected san juan from war attacks and such. it was huge and one of many! we only had time to see this one but it was pretty cool to walk around and see everything. they have cute cobblestone streets as we were walking around, i wish i would have gotten a picture! oh well. we all know what cobblestone streets look like i'm sure.

after we walked around old san juan we went back to the ship to begin our week of stuffing our faces and relaxation. we went straight for the food! we were starving at this point and were excited to see all the food. it is definitely missed now! 

that night we went to the nice dinner in the dining room where we met miagi. it was open dining since it was the first night so he wasn't going to be our waiter throughout the week but he was hilarious. he did a high kick for us and showed us some dance moves! after dinner we went and enjoyed the hot tub in our robes and walked around the ship. we watched the ship pull away from the port while we were in the hot tub looking out. it was so fun! we were so excited for our next week of vaca. we also enjoyed some yummy ice cream. we definitely didn't get enough of those delicious cones!

that ends our first day of our amazing spring break! the next day was st. thomas, virgin islands and we had a blast. it was on of my favorite islands on the trip.
