day six: st. kitts

st. kitts was one of my favorite islands. it was so pretty here and so laid back and i loved it. it wasn't as busy as the other islands, but of course, they are all pretty!

in st. kitts we took a tour around the whole island on a tour bus called big banana. everywhere we went someone was called big something. it was funny. anyways, the island was gorgeous. we drove around the whole thing in an open bus thing. we stopped at a lot of different places and then spent the rest of the time on a beach. we had a ton of fun here.

the first place we stopped at was a beach with a ton of volcanic rock. in the middle of the island there was a huge volcano so there is a ton of volcanic rock around the island. we stopped at a beach with a ton of it. it was really pretty. there was a bunch of little shops there too. we drank some coconut milk which to me wasn't that great. it needed some sugar or something! it was still good though. we also tried some sugar cane, which is what the island harvests.

the next stop we made was a botanical garden. really pretty! there was a bunch of viney trees so we swung on them like tarzan and jane! it was a lot of fun. we stopped at a couple more spots but it was more of drive by stuff.

then we spent a ton of time on the beach and snorkeled around. it was beautiful. the water was super clear and a pretty blue. all the islands were unique because one side was the atlantic ocean and the other side was the caribbean ocean. on st. kitts your could see both sides of it at one point. it was pretty neat.

after the enjoyable time on the island we shopped around and then headed back to the ship. we had a blast on st. kitts but were sad that we only had one more day on the cruise! tomorrow we are at st. maartan :)
