superbowl sunday

as i'm sure all of you know, the superbowl was last sunday! we went over to our friends, cj and robin and their adorable little girl jaysa's house to eat some delicious food and cheer on the teams. quin and i didn't really care for either of the teams so we just chose the one that no one else was cheering for. since cj's cousin plays for the steelers they were all for rootin on them. so we chose the packers. and they won!! so i think it is safe to say we chose the right team. halftime was great. no wardrobe malfunctions this year! poor christina aguilera kinda messed up the national anthem but other than that we had so much fun and ate sooo much food! cj made us some chicken fajita's, ribs, little hot dog weenies, jalepeno poppers, and some other stuff. it was all very delicious.

i made a bean dip and it really is the best bean dip ever. my aunt gave me the recipe after she made it for our christmas eve family party. her mom is the one who came up with it. it is soooo good so i thought i'd share the recipe. it is so simple and very yummy...if you like bean dip of course. some people don't. and if you eat it with the hint of lime chips its even better!

Bertha's Fancy
1 lb hamburger
1 lg can refried beans
1 can green chile salsa
1 can chopped olives
1 onion chopped
1 can chopped green chile's
1/2 lb shredded cheese
after browning the meat and onions, throw everything in a slow cooker and forget til your hungry!

its that simple and so good.

this was the only picture we got all night. and it was after  we got home and were relaxing.

well another year of superbowl madness. we had fun hanging out with friends and cheering on the great sport of football.
until next year...
