it might be a small town thing.
anyways, i know it's not christmas but i decided i wanted to do that for valentines day! i saw this cute idea on the blog between naps on the porch and i was so excited to make them and pass them around to our friends and family. they are called snicker sundaes! or so i think. i may have made that up but it matches perfectly what they are. they are little dessert cups filled with snickers. don't they look just like a little sundae?!
we got some dessert/soda cups, filled them with cute valentine snickers, then filled it full to the top, and added a straw just like a yummy sundae! they turned out pretty cute i'm not going to lie. i almost kept one for myself but remembered that they were supposed to be gifts so i excitedly delivered them to the lucky recipients!
they were so easy to make and it was a cute way to say happy valentines day to the people we love! of course, we couldn't deliver them to everyone we would have liked to but it was so much fun making them and getting to deliver them just like when we were young, delivering our christmas goody plates to our neighbors!
valentine snickers! perfect.
i did mine a little different then the blog i found them on but it still worked the same!
hot glue does wonders
look at those cute glasses
we had a lot of fun making our valentine sundaes and hopefully everyone enjoyed a little valentine goody to sweeten up their day. go check them out at between naps on the porch. it is such a cute and creative blog!
happy valentines day! hope everyone enjoys their day!!!
p.s. quin's got a surprise up his sleeve for tomorrow so i'm pretty excited to see what it is!
those are adorable!!! And mini candybars plus a cute sundae glass...perfect! :) Happy Valentine's to you & Quin!
ReplyDeleteSo so cute! You are so creative!
ReplyDeleteHow cute Dani...I love them. I've seen it done with taffy, but I would much rather eat the snickers. WE need to come up with a craft and do a craft day with marie while the kids get watched by the men. let me know if you come across an easy cheap craft. (to bad we arent your neighbors...those sure look good) ;)
ReplyDeleteAmber we definitely need to get together soon! I will start searching around for a good craft to do. And we have one for your family! We were going to stop by on sunday but Dean said you were over at your parents house. We'll come deliver it soon!
ReplyDeleteOH, sounds good. I'll wait in anticipation. I'll be on the look out as well. Tell marie too.
