oh the excitement!

exciting things are happening around the monson household. and no i am not pregnant.

well its official. quin and i booked a trip for our anniversary and we are soooooo excited! we actually booked it quite awhile ago and i finally decided to share it. after much pleading and begging on my part (kidding. it didn't take too long) i finally convinced quin that we should go somewhere a little different that we have really been to before. our original plan was to stay closer to home and save money. well...work and school has gotten to us and we decided all heck with that. lets have some fun and get away! so yep, we booked a trip to...

MIAMI, FLORIDA!!

we are so excited it's not even funny. we will be staying there for 5 days just relaxing and lounging around. our hotel is right on south beach so we can basically walk anywhere we want to go. we planned a day to go to the florida keys and enjoy that greatness. basically we are just looking forward to some time away just the two of us to enjoy no school or work. Only 11 more days to go!

on another exciting note, i ended up getting that nursing job at the washington county jail! i'm so excited about it. i know what you are thinking...who would want to work in a jail and be excited about it? and i thought the same thing but for some reason i'm way happy about it. i started with my orientation today with the sheriffs office and my first day for nursing orientation is wednesday. i have alot to learn about the rankings in law enforcement. i have no idea who is higher up than the next cop! i'm so glad it is closer to home than the hospital i work at now. even though i will still be working there, i can cut back on my shifts and stay closer to home. the jail is only 15 minutes from my house! its going to be great. i don't have to leave two hours before a 12 hour shift, making a long day longer. well technically i still will be, but less often :). hallelujah.

school is over and finals are almost over. that definitely needs to be added into this "excitement" post. i can't wait to have a summer off with no homework or tests to worry about. i have a summer class but it's only 5 weeks long. not bad. quin on the other hand will still be pretty busy in the summer with classes. he works so hard! it's coming to a close though. he is just getting all of his stuff ready to apply for a school in switzerland!! it would be so fun if he got accepted and we could go to a different country for a couple years. it would be living in a town called lausanne and its right on lake geneva. it seriously is sooooo pretty! cold...but pretty. it's where the matterhorn is! and not the one in disneyland. cool eh? we'll see what happens. wouldn't that be awesome though?!
