basketball game + jazz bear

we have been wanting to take our nephew, preston, to a dixie basketball for quite some time. he is an avid sports fan and knows more about sports than i do. he's eight. he's definitely a monson! this past home game, the jazz bear was going to be there and we thought it would be fun to invite preston along. we first stopped at artic circle and got some ice cream. preston was such a talker his ice cream melted before he finished it. i wish i would've gotten a picture of his ice cream dripping down his arms!

after artic circle we made it to the game. the jazz bear was such a hit. he does such a good job entertaining the fans! it puts "big dee", our bull mascot, to shame. the jazz bear's first thing he did on the court was climb up the basketball hoop clear to the top of the backboard and threw out some basketballs. i thought he was going to climb back down but he jumped through the hoop! with one leg up and one leg down! he was one flexible bear. he did a bunch of different things and all were hilarious and fun to watch. at one point he threw out some jazz basketball's and preston got one. he was pretty excited!

we had such a blast taking preston out and getting to spend more time with him. he's such a cute kid and is going to be a sports guru one day! thanks preston for hanging out with your boring aunt and uncle for a night!
