pine valley weekend

this year for the superbowl, quin and i went out to pine valley with some friends and had a blast! we went up sunday morning and came home monday morning. we had so much fun and seriously ate so much food. everyone out did themselves on the food making. 

sunday morning, josh, allie, quin, and i decided we would get up there early to go to church up there. the pine valley church is so cute and so old. it's a pretty historic piece of utah so we thought it would be fun to go. the church was so cute inside. i wish i could have taken pictures. i did get some of the outside of it and it shows just how cute it is. we had fun going to church. the branch president said that they always have more visitors than actual branch members.

after church we at a yummy brunch of crepes and this awesome cocktail juice thing. i don't know what it was called but oh my it was so good! josh and allie provided the brunch and it was so good.

we played the newlywed game after brunch. quin and i didn't do that great but at least we weren't the last couple haha...judd and liz :). it's always fun to play that game and see how much you really know about eachother. after that game we, of course, ate some more food. there was just too much to not. quin and i went for a drive around pine valley with my new camera and i took way too many pictures. i'm trying to get better at taking pictures with my camera so quin was nice enough to take me around. it was snowing slightly and so pretty out there! warning...there may be a lot of pictures coming up :)

after our little drive it was almost time for game time! we cooked some more food and got ready for the giants and the patriots. since quin was cheering for the giants, i cheered for the patriots. it's always funner to have someone to go against. i wasn't a great fan though cuz i fell asleep the first quarter. oh well...it's the end that matters! and the patriots still lost. dang it. quin won. it was a good game though from what i saw of it. at half time we played a mean game of around the world ping pong. i got out pretty early everytime. i'm not the best ping pong player. 

cj and robin made a ton of snacks and for dinner judd and liz made some really carne asada. so yummy! i told you we ate a lot. we pretty much non stop ate the whole day. quin and i were in charge of desserts and drinks. i made some slutty brownies, muddy buddies, rice crispies, and fruit pizza. liz made some cake balls in the shape of footballs. perfect for the occasion.

that night we played boneyard. the cabin we stayed at was a perfect place for all sorts of games. we were pretty much like little kids again. boneyard is like hide and seek but way funner. if you get caught, you can get freed by the other people who haven't been caught yet. like i said, we were little kids again. we went to bed later than we have in a long time. we had a blast though. it was such a fun weekend spending time with friends and not having to worry about a thing. hopefully we can do another weekend like that again!
