it's always fun...

...when family comes to visit!

this last weekend, sydney and joe and their three kids were down from up north to enjoy a nice weekend in the warmer parts of the state. joe had a teaching conference he had to go to but we like to think that they only came to hang out with us :)

we did a lot of enjoyable activities including hot tubbing, cafe rio, garage sales, grand opening parties, miniature golf, pizza factory, and hanging out. it is always so fun when family comes to visit and we always enjoy having visitors. 

i didn't get a ton of pictures of the happening weekend but i did manage to get a couple. saturday was the grand opening of the sinclair on the boulevard and they were serving hamburgers and giving out fifty dollar gas cards. we, of course, could not turn down free food especially when you a lot of mouths to feed so it was perfect. it was actually pretty fun and there were a lot of people there. we don't know if we won the gas cards yet, supposedly they were going to draw them out later and call the winners. we'll be waiting for phone call from them anytime now i just know it. 

that night we ate at the family's favorite place, the pizza factory, and then enjoyed some miniature golfing at laser mania. i hadn't been there since my first year at college five years ago but it was fun to go back and do the glow in the dark miniature golfing. i was winning quin the whole time but ended up losing on the last hole! dang it. it was actually pretty fun. minus the weird smell it was a pretty cool place. everything glowed under the black lights and the kids thought it was so cool that their shoe laces lit up. it was an enjoyable evening. thanks for the fun weekend syd, joe, marie, eric, and kids!
