oh what a wonderful weekend

don't you just love four day weekends? they are oh so great if you ask me. especially when both you and your other half don't have to work! we tried to make ours pretty eventful but it ended up just being a nice relaxing time of hanging out with eachother, friends, and family.

friday was the only lame day. i had to work until eleven and quin had his red storm retreat where he gets to babysit high schoolers, who have a slight interest in coming to dixie, for an overnighter. talk about no fun! anyways, saturday was my little brothers regional basketball game. they played friday as well and won so they made it to state which is next week! saturday's game was played to determine who would go in first or second. after a way hard game where they didn't play great, they ended up losing by two points. at least they made it to state though. chase did a great job. it's so weird that it is is senior year and i won't be able to watch anymore high school games without it being weird! they play state this weekend in reno and quin and i won't be able to go so we'll be cheering for him here in st. geezy.

sunday was a fairly decent day. we both had to teach, i in relief society and quin in sunday school, so after that was done it was better! after church we went over to my friends house for dinner. a bunch of my old friends were down and it was sooooooo good seeing everyone! i was on student government with most of them at dixie and it was seriously the funnest time with these girls. we are all on different paths now and it's so crazy! four got married, two are pregnant, two went on missions, one is currently on a mission, most all graduated and are on to great jobs, and some are still in school getting degrees like dental hygiene, physicians assistant, public health, nursing, etc! it looks like we all love medical things haha. anyways, it was such a good night to catch up with everyone and to see how different our lives have become. even though we are all doing different things, we all still get along great and will, most likely, always be great friends! love you all :)

p.s. of course i'm the only one in sweats. who gets dressed up on a sunday evening? apparently everyone!
i missed that memo

monday quin and i did really good at working out. we even rode our bikes up this huge hill that i think i could have walked up faster instead of biking. it was so good though and so pretty when we got to the top. you could pretty much see all of st. george. i wish i could have taken a picture but i was unprepared and didn't bring my camera. later that day we went and saw the vow with our friends drew and dab and then shared a nice dinner at wingers. i have wanted to see the vow for forever but everyone told me it wasn't that great so i was a little skeptical. k...i don't know what ya'll were thinkin saying it wasn't great but i loved it. i thought it was a sad yet cute movie but it felt real and i think that's what i loved about it. it's even based on a true story which i had no idea! anyways, the point is that it was a great movie and you should see it. i stinking cried of course but what good chick flick movie doesn't make you cry, right?
just see it.

  1. Sounds like fun! I'm glad you recommend it--I had heard mixed reviews, too. Guess we'll have to see it! P.S. Your cruise is coming up! Way jealous and sad we couldn't go :( Welcome to the real world, I guess (Landon's new job) I wonder if we will ever get away... Hope all is well!
